(The TARDIS jolts. The Doctor clings to the railing while trying to steady the ship.)

Doctor: Maybe, let's just talk about the weather. Do cybermen have weather? You have weather, right?

Cyber-Martha: Weather is irrelevant to my mission.

Doctor: Of course, of course. (clears his throat) So, um, that's a...nice, shiny exterior you've got there.

Cyber-Martha: The exterior is designed to withstand various environmental pressures. It is effective.

Doctor: (grinning) Well, at least you won't get sick anymore! No more sniffles! (laughs awkwardly)

Cyber-Martha: Correct, Doctor. My human weaknesses have been removed.

Doctor: Except for that quick wit and fantastic taste in jumpers!

Cyber-Martha: (silently stares)

Doctor: (laughs through gritted teeth) That was a joke. You used to laugh. Uh, never mind, sorry.

(The Doctor continues making small talk about anything and everything while trying to hold back his sadness at Martha's conversion.)

Doctor: (excited) Oh, I remember this one time, there was this strange, cat-like species living on a planet with beautiful, neon forests. You would've...um, well, you might've liked it.

Cyber-Martha: I see no value in neon forests, Doctor.

Doctor: (sighing) Yes, I suppose you wouldn't...

(The TARDIS jolts again.)

Doctor: (looking at various monitors) I've got to find a way to bring you back, Martha. This isn't right.

Cyber-Martha: You cannot reverse my conversion, Doctor. My purpose is to serve the Cybermen.

Doctor: Yeah, well, I've never really been one to accept what "can" and "cannot" be done. Odd habit of mine. (winks)

Cyber-Martha: This conversation serves no purpose, Doctor.

Doctor: You're absolutely right. And the fact that I'm about to save the universe serves no purpose either. But I'm going to do it anyway. (pauses) Any interest in joining me?

Cyber-Martha: I will obey your command, Doctor. But I am bound by Cyberman programming.

Lastly, we think that just sharing a screen during class does not always help us understand the concepts. We need the learning process to be more interactive and engaging.
