FP-12 - Analysis of Milk

This method describes the determination of Ca, Mg, K, Na and Cu in
milk and may be applicable to other elements. Using this method, the
milk proteins including casein are precipitated by using trichloroacetic
acid (TCA). The samples are then filtered and the filtrate analyzed by
atomic absorption.
