Leila walks down the hallway, her pace brisk, clearly expressing her urgency to reach her apartment. Her brow is furrowed, and her face flushed, both indications of her discomfort. She has been suppressing the urge to move her bowels for hours, not having any time to spare at work or finding a public restroom that she feels comfortable using.
As Leila finally reaches the door to her shared apartment, her face turns to despair as she frantically rummages through her purse. She can't find her keys.
LEILA (frustrated and desperate whisper)
Shoot! No, no, no… not now. Ugh!
Leila moves to the wall beside the door and leans her back against it, trying to handle the rapidly escalating urge to defecate. She anxiously pulls out her phone and dials her flatmate's number, hoping against hope that her flatmate might be inside to let her in.
INT. BEDROOM - DAY
We see Leila's flatmate SARAH, a woman of the same age with shoulder-length blond hair, fast asleep, wearing comfy, nap-friendly clothes. Her phone vibrates on the nightstand as Leila's call comes in but Sarah doesn't stir. We hear the persistent ringing followed by the call going to voicemail.
INT. HALLWAY OUTSIDE APARTMENT - DAY
Desperation ramps up as Leila redials the number, but the call goes unanswered. Leila's hands start to tremble as the urge to relieve herself grows stronger. She starts knocking on the door; her knocks growing increasingly frantic. Leila shifts her weight from foot to foot, trying to buy herself every second she can.
INT. BEDROOM - DAY
Despite the persistent knocking, Sarah continues to slumber. The knocking stops, and Sarah finally groggily stirs awake. She rubs her eyes and checks her phone to see Leila's missed calls and text messages.
SARAH (sleepy)
Oh, shoot…
INT. HALLWAY OUTSIDE APARTMENT - DAY
Back in the hallway, Leila loses the battle to contain her bowels. She straightens her legs and arches her back, as she releases the pent-up contents of her bowels into her pants. Her face is twisted in a mix of intensity and relief, and she remains a statue in the doorway.
As Sarah opens the front door, she is met with the peculiar sight of Leila frozen in her odd position. Sarah rubs one eye, blinking her way to coherence.
SARAH (confused)
Leila? Why aren't you coming in, and what's with that funny look?
Leila is too absorbed in what is happening to her body to reply verbally. She delivers a soft grunt. Sarah waits a moment, with a growing look of bewilderment.
SARAH (slightly impatient)
Why are you just standing there?
Leila grunts again, still not finished filling her pants.
Finally, the moment passes, and Leila sighs with relief. She gingerly steps into the doorway as Sarah takes a tentative sniff of the air, her look of confusion morphing into stunned realization.
SARAH (amused)
Um… did you just…?
LEILA (sheepishly)
I misplaced my keys… I was trying to hold it, but you didn't answer your phone.
Sarah breaks into a grin, then laughter, as she gets a closer look at the bulging outline in Leila's jeans.
SARAH (teasing)
Well, ain't that just a happy little accident? It looks like you've got enough in there to fill a beach ball!
LEILA (playing along)
Oh, you have no idea how good it felt to finally let go… But yeah, definitely not ideal.
Sarah continues teasing her friend as she walks up to her and gently spins her around by the wrist so she can admire Leila's soiled rear end.
SARAH (animated)
You're like a modern-day Picasso! And I'm sure glad you went outside and not inside our apartment, it smells like a stable in here!
LEILA (with humorous frankness)
Tell me about it… I couldn't take it anymore, I had to give in to nature's call.
Both women laugh and playfully banter about the situation. Sarah relents and allows Leila to pass, encouraging her to go clean herself up.
