Generate a detailed and concise text with a simple straightfoward language focusing on the topics i will give you about actor Jamie Farr . I'm looking for a straightforward and non-flowery style in this article with minimal use of adjectives. Please use simple and easily understandable language throughout the article. Please avoid unnecessary repetition of dates and times in your responses unless they are directly relevant to the context. This is used for a middle part in our script. Cut out intro and outro and jump right into the given facts. Using the information provided, craft a narrative or response that begins with a general statement or an engaging opening sentence:
1: Jamie Farr as Thaddaeus in The Greatest Story Ever Told. During an interview on The Mike Douglas Show (1961), Jamie Farr related the story of how he was so desperate for work when he auditioned for the picture that he prayed to St. Jude, the patron saint of hopeless causes, that he would get the job. He was ironically cast as the apostle Thaddeus, an alternate name for St. Jude (possibly used to avoid confusion with Judas Iscariot).
2: Graduated from Woodward High School with honors and was named most outstanding student. In addition to writing and acting in two variety shows, he was a member of the Drama Society, class president for three years, feature editor of the school newspaper, president of the radio class, manager of the football and basketball teams and a member of the varsity tennis team.
3: Worked as a deliveryman for a lithograph company, a post office clerk, an army-surplus store clerk, an airline reservations clerk and an employee at a chinchilla ranch.

During an interview on The Mike Douglas Show, Jamie Farr shared how he sought work desperately. He prayed to St. Jude, the patron saint of hopeless causes, during his audition for The Greatest Story Ever Told. He was cast as the apostle Thaddeus, which is another name for St. Jude, a choice likely made to avoid confusion with Judas Iscariot.

Farr graduated from Woodward High School with honors and earned the title of most outstanding student. He was active in many school activities, writing and acting in two variety shows. His roles included being class president for three years, feature editor of the school newspaper, president of the radio class, manager of the football and basketball teams, and participating in the varsity tennis team.

Before becoming famous, Farr held various jobs. He worked as a deliveryman for a lithograph company, a post office clerk, a clerk in an army-surplus store, an airline reservations clerk, and even an employee at a chinchilla ranch. His diverse background and experiences contributed to his later success in entertainment.

142.76 - 147.84: This fight wasn't theoretical for her, it was happening in her literal front yard.

154.04 - 156.39999999999998: shouting about this thing called justice.
156.4 - 162.24: As an elementary school student, Kamala was a part of some of the first efforts to desegregate
162.24 - 167.8: schools by busing kids from predominantly black neighborhoods to try to integrate these
167.8 - 170.44: cities that had been so deeply divided by race.
170.44 - 177.0: was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools
177.0 - 182.68: and she was bused to school every day. And that little girl was me. Okay, so at this point you
182.68 - 184.28: you start to see some of these influences
184.28 - 186.28: that go on to inform the rest of her life.
186.28 - 188.72: Her immigrant parents, especially her single mother
188.72 - 191.16: who raised her, the civil rights movement happening
191.16 - 193.8: around her, and the neighborhood that she grew up in.
193.8 - 198.86: In middle school, Kamala's mom accepted a job in Montreal as a cancer researcher.
198.86 - 203.16000000000003: She talks about this as being a big opportunity for her mom, but she was a teenager and she
203.16000000000003 - 205.92000000000002: was not thrilled to be moving to Canada.
205.92000000000002 - 211.60000000000002: the time describe high schooler Kamala as bookish, bubbly, and two have blended in with everyone
211.60000000000002 - 216.96: easily. After graduating high school in 1982, she enrolled in Howard University in Washington,
216.96 - 224.32000000000002: D.C., where she studied political science and economics. During her time at college,
224.32 - 226.54: She took on student leadership positions,
226.54 - 228.34: participated on the debate team,
228.34 - 231.29999999999998: and continued to show an interest in activism,
231.29999999999998 - 233.62: participating in protests on campus.
233.62 - 235.82: While in DC, you also start to see
235.82 - 237.85999999999999: her turn more towards politics.
237.86 - 240.28: She spends both her summers and during the school year,
240.28 - 242.72000000000003: interning at government institutions,
242.72000000000003 - 244.60000000000002: places like the Federal Trade Commission,
244.60000000000002 - 246.72000000000003: or interning for a California senator.
246.72000000000003 - 248.60000000000002: She worked at the National Archives.
248.60000000000002 - 250.44000000000003: She was a tour guide at the US Bureau
250.44 - 255.72: been graving and printing. And in between all of this, she also took on summer jobs to make money,
255.72 - 258.12: the most famous of which being her stint at McDonald's.
261.4 - 265.32: Which like during this election, people have been trying to debunk or like spread rumors that
265.32 - 266.52: that she didn't work at McDonald's,
266.52 - 268.4: like it's some highly controversial thing.
268.4 - 271.15999999999997: Anyway, the point here is there's a major paradox
271.15999999999997 - 274.26: happening in Paris's life that we start to see.
274.26 - 277.64: On one hand, she's influenced by activism,
277.64 - 280.59999999999997: is critical of government, she's protesting it,
280.59999999999997 - 284.24: while also working within old government institutions
284.24 - 286.64: that she was often critiquing as unfair.
286.64 - 288.59999999999997: This is a major theme within her life.
288.59999999999997 - 289.84: One you can see in this speech
289.84 - 292.47999999999996: that she gave to Howard graduates in 2017.
307.64 - 311.64: Okay, so it's the mid-80s and Harris returns to California for law school.
311.64 - 317.64: This is where we start to see more influences, like one summer she was an intern at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office.
317.64 - 323.64: And she gets her first real taste for how powerful a role as a public prosecutor can be.
323.64 - 328.64: I was working on a case and I realized that among those arrested was an innocent bystander.
328.64 - 333.64: But it was late on a Friday afternoon the case would not get called until Monday.
333.64 - 336.34: I pleaded for the judge to come back
336.34 - 342.36: I would not leave until the judge finally gave in and when that happened with the swipe of a pen
342.36 - 348.28: This woman got to go home to her children that woman taught me that when you see something in front of you
348.28000000000003 - 354.04: that's wrong. You can just go ahead and do what you know is right. Okay, so we're now getting to
354.04 - 360.12: the point that got me really curious about Harris. We have this list of initial influences that
360.12 - 364.44: have informed her life, but now we get to the more visible part. What she did when she was in the
364.44 - 370.44: public eye during her career, her decisions, her words, they paint a picture and I want to show it
370.44 - 375.16: to you. Most important things don't come easy. So it's not going to be a cake watch. There's a
375.16 - 380.28: lot of work to do. Okay, but before we dive in, let's define this word prosecutor, which is a
380.28000000000003 - 381.8: is a word that you're gonna hear a lot
381.8 - 383.56: when you talk about Kamala Harris.
383.56 - 386.6: A public prosecutor is the government's lawyer.
386.6 - 389.08000000000004: They are responsible for presenting the evidence
389.08000000000004 - 390.84000000000003: and the case against people or businesses
390.84000000000003 - 392.40000000000003: accused of committing a crime.
392.40000000000003 - 393.84000000000003: And here in the United States,
393.84000000000003 - 397.04: they're often seen as hawks, they're tough on crime,
397.04 - 399.40000000000003: responsible for upholding America's habit
399.40000000000003 - 403.24: of throwing millions in jail for non-violent crimes, okay?
403.24 - 405.88000000000005: Public prosecutor, big part of Kamala Harris's life.
405.88 - 409.15999999999997: So after law school, Harris becomes a public prosecutor
409.15999999999997 - 411.88: in California, first in Alameda County,
411.88 - 413.68: and then for the city of San Francisco,
413.68 - 416.48: and then eventually for the entire state of California.
416.48 - 419.84: So now Kamala Harris, this activist turned
419.84000000000003 - 424.96000000000004: kind of politician lawyer takes on the role that is kind of the definition of tough on
424.96000000000004 - 430.8: crime, working to convict criminals, advocating to lock them up, and upholding the status
430.8 - 432.6: quo of our justice system.
432.6 - 434.84000000000003: Serious and violent crime, lock them up.
434.84000000000003 - 438.12: But, Hera says that she's a different kind of public prosecutor.
438.12 - 442.6: She calls herself a progressive prosecutor, huh?
442.6 - 445.48: This strikes people as kind of a contradiction.
445.48 - 448.76000000000005: Are you soft on crime or are you tough on crime?
448.76 - 453.14: Instead, I believe we should be asking, are we smart on crime?
453.14 - 457.71999999999997: Again, here in the United States, progressives tend to advocate for reform to our justice
457.71999999999997 - 458.71999999999997: system.
458.71999999999997 - 463.21999999999997: They say that the system is too harsh, locking up way too many people who are disproportionately
463.22 - 469.78000000000003: brown and black men, often for non-violent crimes and for far too long. That's one of many critiques.
469.78000000000003 - 474.02000000000004: And as I mentioned, prosecutors are kind of seen as the ones doing the locking up. So to get through
474.02 - 478.74: this next section, let's put both of these words on a scale. And as we look at her career,
478.74 - 484.34: let's assess what she's done that represents the progressive side of the scale, and what of her
484.34000000000003 - 488.34000000000003: actions represent more of the traditional prosecutor side. I'm going to go through the
488.34000000000003 - 492.74: progressive side first, but then I will get to the prosecutor side. So don't forget that that's coming.
492.74 - 496.82000000000005: Early intervention leaves room in our prisons for the violent criminals who should be there.
496.82 - 499.65999999999997: First up, Harris says that being a progressive prosecutor
499.65999999999997 - 502.62: means holding serious criminals to account
502.62 - 506.04: while focusing on preventing crime in the first place.
506.04 - 509.38: She focuses on stopping the crime before it happens.
509.38 - 511.02: And to do this, throughout her career,
511.02 - 513.02: she focuses a lot on data.
526.82 - 531.5400000000001: The context here is that crime is one of those issues that easily scares us.
531.5400000000001 - 535.22: No matter your political leanings, every person wants to feel safe.
535.22 - 540.1800000000001: So there's a lot of emotions driving how our justice system works, how we treat criminals.
540.1800000000001 - 542.2600000000001: But Harris wanted to change this.
556.82 - 558.9000000000001: She's building public databases.
558.9000000000001 - 563.1400000000001: Let's focus on what we can do to prevent crime before it occurs.
563.1400000000001 - 565.1400000000001: Publishing statistics on crimes.
565.1400000000001 - 569.5400000000001: Elementary school students missing 60, 70, 80 days of 180 day school year.
569.5400000000001 - 570.6600000000001: Arrest data.
570.66 - 574.26: I was told prosecutors don't need to focus on recidivism.
574.26 - 578.5: I was told prosecutors should not focus on the needs of children.
578.5 - 580.74: A public database for police practices.
580.74 - 582.98: Did an analysis of who our homicide victims were?
582.98 - 585.14: 94% of them were high school dropouts.
600.66 - 603.4599999999999: And in a few cases, she actually did that.
603.4599999999999 - 609.06: So I decided I was going to start prosecuting parents for truancy.
609.06 - 612.36: Well, this was a little controversial in San Francisco.
612.36 - 616.86: And frankly, my staff went bananas. They were very concerned.
616.86 - 621.02: Okay, a few more things on the progressive side of the scale here, and then we'll get to the prosecutor side.
621.02 - 623.22: She fought against applying the death penalty.
623.22 - 627.22: She fought big banks and won convictions after the 2008 housing crisis.
627.22 - 632.34: We have delivered to California $18 billion
632.34 - 634.5400000000001: in relief for California's homeowners.
634.5400000000001 - 636.98: She fought and won a billion dollars
636.98 - 640.02: for victims of a predatory for-profit university.
640.02 - 642.9: We are talking about Corinthian colleges
642.9 - 646.22: taking advantage of Californians
646.22 - 649.58: who simply aspire to achieve the American dream.
649.58 - 652.46: And perhaps her most nationally recognized moment
652.46 - 655.0600000000001: as Attorney General is the moment where she told
655.0600000000001 - 657.98: the Clerk of Los Angeles to begin issuing marriage licenses
657.98 - 659.48: to same-sex couples.
659.48 - 661.46: Back during when this was a big debate
661.46 - 664.84: around Proposition 8 or the legality of gay marriage.
664.84 - 666.48: This is <PRESIDIO_ANONYMIZED_PERSON>.
666.48 - 669.0400000000001: You must start marriages immediately.
672.48 - 673.9200000000001: Okay, but hold your horses.
673.9200000000001 - 675.36: There's another side to this story.
675.36 - 677.4000000000001: So far, I've made Harris look like this
677.4 - 680.64: reform-minded, progressive champion as a prosecutor,
680.64 - 683.16: but let's look at the other side of the scale.
683.16 - 685.72: I took on perpetrators of all kinds.
685.72 - 686.56: Lock them up.
686.56 - 688.64: Pressibly prosecuting violent criminals
688.64 - 691.84: as San Francisco's first African-American DA.
691.84 - 693.5600000000001: First, the death penalty.
693.5600000000001 - 695.48: In 2014, as attorney general,
695.48 - 698.5600000000001: in a seemingly reversal of her previous actions
698.5600000000001 - 699.8000000000001: as district attorney,
699.8000000000001 - 701.88: she actually fought to keep the death penalty
701.88 - 704.4: in California by appealing a ruling
704.4 - 706.64: that would have effectively ended it in the state.
706.64 - 708.92: In another case, the Supreme Court came out and said
708.92 - 711.56: that California's prisons were so overcrowded
711.56 - 713.76: that it violated the Constitution
713.76 - 716.28: as cruel and unusual punishment.
716.28 - 719.36: And yet, her office supported the governor's fight
719.36 - 721.16: against releasing prisoners.
721.16 - 723.64: Over the years, she resisted or fought against
723.64 - 725.6: some criminal justice reforms.
725.6 - 728.12: Her office prosecuted almost 2,000 people
728.12 - 730.1999999999999: in cannabis related offenses,
730.1999999999999 - 732.52: as well as defending the cash bail,
732.52 - 735.28: which critics see as unfairly punishing
735.28 - 736.64: lower income defendants.
736.64 - 738.3199999999999: Okay, I know this is a lot of like,
738.3199999999999 - 740.6: we are in the weeds of the justice system.
740.6 - 741.76: And like with the Trump video,
741.76 - 745.48: I was able to be like in the weeds on like branded vodka
745.48 - 747.76: and giant towers in New York City.
747.76 - 750.28: But Kamala's story is actually this.
750.28 - 752.28: It's like she has been in the weeds
752.28 - 754.12: on criminal justice policy,
754.12 - 757.36: and her critics and her fans debate
757.36 - 762.08: as to how progressive or hawkish she was in the system.
762.08 - 764.4000000000001: And so that is how we are evaluating her here.
764.4000000000001 - 766.9200000000001: I know it's not as fun as watching Donald Trump
766.9200000000001 - 770.84: like be in the apprentice, but this is her career.
770.84 - 773.84: Jeez, California's most innovative district attorney.
773.84 - 775.5600000000001: After going through all of these critiques,
775.5600000000001 - 779.8800000000001: you can see why some liberals call BS on her whole idea
779.8800000000001 - 782.22: of being a progressive prosecutor,
782.22 - 783.8000000000001: saying that her career was actually built off
783.8000000000001 - 786.32: of maintaining a tough on crime policy
786.32 - 788.6: while sprinkling in some progressive reforms.
788.6 - 790.2: No matter how you judge all of this,
790.2 - 793.9200000000001: what's clear is that Harris continues to mind that balance
793.9200000000001 - 795.5200000000001: that she has her whole life,
795.5200000000001 - 799.32: where she clearly has earnest progressive values and ideals,
799.32 - 803.26: but she also is pragmatic and works within the system
803.26 - 805.32: that she believes is where she can make change,
805.32 - 807.08: which means upholding the status quo.
807.08 - 808.6: But what this looks like, especially now
808.6 - 811.0400000000001: that she's under the microscope of the entire world,
811.0400000000001 - 813.1600000000001: no one really knows where she stands
813.1600000000001 - 815.5600000000001: because there's seemingly contradictory
815.5600000000001 - 818.08: or inconsistent behavior here.
818.08 - 820.0: I'll share my read on that in just a sec,
820.0 - 822.76: but first, let's see what happens next.
822.76 - 825.5200000000001: I am excited to stand before you
825.5200000000001 - 828.1600000000001: as a proud California candidate
828.1600000000001 - 829.5200000000001: for the United States Center.
830.96 - 834.6800000000001: The election has been exhausting because of the news cycle.
834.6800000000001 - 837.0000000000001: I feel like every day there's like 150 news stories
837.0000000000001 - 838.4000000000001: that I should be following,
838.4000000000001 - 840.8800000000001: but they're coming from all these different news outlets
840.8800000000001 - 843.1600000000001: that all have different biases.
843.1600000000001 - 844.84: Luckily, there is a solution for that,
844.84 - 847.8000000000001: and that is the sponsor of today's video, Ground News.
847.8000000000001 - 849.8000000000001: Ground News aggregates news stories
849.8000000000001 - 852.48: from around the world into one place.
852.48 - 855.76: It is a website and an app that helps me cut through the noise
855.76 - 856.6: when I'm reading the news,
856.6 - 858.28: because it allows me to see the bias
858.28 - 859.78: of this different coverage.
859.78 - 862.64: What articles lean right, what articles lean left,
862.64 - 865.4: the factuality rating, how reliable it is,
865.4 - 867.9200000000001: and who owns these different news outlets,
867.9200000000001 - 869.1800000000001: which affects the coverage.
869.1800000000001 - 871.34: This is such an important tool during this time
871.34 - 874.22: in our history and how the media is so polarized.
874.22 - 877.0200000000001: Right now they have this specific election page,
877.0200000000001 - 879.7800000000001: which helps you be alert to political spin
879.7800000000001 - 880.98: and sensationalism.
880.98 - 883.4200000000001: You can see information in reporting on each candidate.
883.4200000000001 - 887.6600000000001: You love this blind spot feature they have that allows you to see stories that you wouldn't
887.6600000000001 - 890.94: naturally click, helps you round out your reading.

905.98 - 911.26: more conscious critical news consumer. So to get this massive discount just use the link in my
911.26 - 915.58: description is ground.news slash Johnny Harris or just scan the QR code here on
915.58 - 918.86: the screen. You can sign up for the vantage plan which has all of these
918.86 - 921.9: features I talked about today and hopefully it can help you like it has me
921.9 - 925.74: become a more critical thinker about today's crazy news cycle.
925.74 - 927.74: Thank you, Grand News, for sponsoring today's video.
927.74 - 931.26: And with that, let's get back to the rise of Kamala Harris.
931.26 - 936.3: In 2016, Harris won the election to become California's next senator.
936.3000000000001 - 940.7800000000001: The backdrop of her victory was a country specifically the progressive communities
940.7800000000001 - 942.86: shook by the election of Donald Trump.
942.86 - 947.0200000000001: Do we retreat or do we fight? I say we fight. I intend to fight.
947.0200000000001 - 951.2600000000001: Now Harris is a prosecutor, a professional legal fighter,
951.26 - 956.54: And over the next few years, she used her experience to grill Trump cabinet officials
956.54 - 958.62: and nominees as they came before the Senate.
958.62 - 963.26: Can you think of any laws that give the government the power to make
963.26 - 965.42: decisions about the male body?
965.4200000000001 - 971.96: Has the president or anyone at the White House ever asked or suggested that you open an investigation of anyone?
971.96 - 973.22: Yes or no, please, sir.
973.22 - 974.72: Perhaps they've suggested.
974.72 - 976.2400000000001: I don't know. I wouldn't say suggest.
976.2400000000001 - 978.8000000000001: And then two years later,
978.8000000000001 - 985.7600000000001: I stand before you today to announce my candidacy for President of the United States.
985.7600000000001 - 991.1200000000001: During this campaign, like everyone in a Democratic campaign, she swung far to the left,
991.1200000000001 - 996.8800000000001: saying that she espoused pretty, like, left-leaning policies, something that has come back to bite her
996.88 - 998.96: basically every week during this election.
998.96 - 1002.24: But she didn't gain traction and she soon pulled out of the race.
1002.24 - 1004.64: I'm suspending our campaign today.
1004.64 - 1008.88: But soon she got a call from the Democratic nominee to join the ticket.
1008.88 - 1010.32: You ready to go to work?
1010.32 - 1013.12: Oh my god. I'm so many good work.
1013.12 - 1018.32: And as the vice presidential nominee during the debates especially, her experiences as a prosecutor
1018.32 - 1020.4000000000001: continue to define her reputation.
1020.4000000000001 - 1022.4000000000001: You shouldn't have appealed to Trump tax companies.
1022.4000000000001 - 1023.7600000000001: Mr. Vice President, I'm speaking.
1023.76 - 1026.36: I'm speaking.
1026.36 - 1029.6: Biden and Harris won the White House in 2020.
1029.6 - 1032.64: We did it, we did it, Charles.
1032.64 - 1035.96: But while I may be the first woman in this office,
1035.96 - 1037.52: I will not be the last.
1037.52 - 1039.6: Okay, now listen, I'm gonna be honest here.
1039.6 - 1041.96: When I started the reporting this story,
1041.96 - 1043.32: I kind of thought that this next part
1043.32 - 1044.8: was gonna be the juiciest part.
1044.8 - 1046.76: Like what does she do when she's vice president?
1046.76 - 1049.28: And it ended up being the least helpful
1049.28 - 1051.28: in understanding Kamala Harris.
1051.28 - 1053.12: I've wrestled with this and concluded
1053.12 - 1056.56: that I can't exactly learn a ton about Harris
1056.56 - 1058.72: from her four years as vice president,
1058.72 - 1061.12: partly because it was Joe Biden's administration
1061.1200000000001 - 1064.0000000000002: and the vice president doesn't really like call the shots.
1064.0000000000002 - 1066.98: And partly because of the task that she was given,
1066.98 - 1071.3000000000002: which was the duty of fixing the root causes of migration
1071.3000000000002 - 1074.2600000000002: from Central America to the US's southern border.
1074.26 - 1076.7: Like, good luck.
1076.7 - 1079.46: The mandate was go use American power
1079.46 - 1082.18: to fix poverty, systemic corruption,
1082.18 - 1085.06: and gang violence in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras
1085.06 - 1087.62: so that people stop trying to come to the United States.
1087.62 - 1090.26: I've reported a lot on migration and borders,
1104.26 - 1110.74: dangerous trek to the United States' Mexico border. Do not come. Do not come."
1110.74 - 1116.94: Now, you can read her five-pillar plan, but when I read it, it just feels kind of bland
1116.94 - 1123.5800000000002: and familiar. Like the many reports with aspirational language about how the US can somehow fix systemic
1123.5800000000002 - 1129.18: problems in other countries. Stuff like this does not work, or if it does, it does not work quickly.
1129.18 - 1134.22: And to add to all of this, the American people seem to misunderstand what her task actually was,
1134.22 - 1138.38: and this includes me, and I'm embarrassed to say this, but I, like a lot of people,
1138.38 - 1142.7800000000002: thought that Kamala Harris was in charge of like the border, like this border situation,
1142.7800000000002 - 1146.94: like she was supposed to fix what we do with people coming to the border.
1146.94 - 1151.5: And all I'm seeing on TV is record numbers of migrants arriving to the border,
1151.5 - 1154.26: huge numbers of unaccompanied young people,
1154.26 - 1155.74: and not just from Central America,
1155.74 - 1157.3: but from tons of countries.
1157.3 - 1160.78: Who was the blame for this big crisis on the border?
1160.78 - 1162.54: Many looked at the vice president,
1162.54 - 1166.6599999999999: Because wasn't she the borders are in charge of all of this?
1166.6599999999999 - 1169.82: No, she wasn't, but we all thought she was.
1169.82 - 1173.02: And it didn't help that in one of her first media appearances,
1173.02 - 1176.1399999999999: she kind of waffled some pretty basic questions about this.
1176.14 - 1180.46: whole thing about the border. We've been to the border. We've been to the border. You haven't
1180.46 - 1186.6200000000001: been to the border. And I haven't been to Europe. Now, to be fair and generous here, I should say
1186.6200000000001 - 1189.14: that when you look at the most recent data,
1189.14 - 1193.3400000000001: migration to the US border has gone down quite a bit,
1193.3400000000001 - 1195.2600000000002: especially if you look at people coming
1195.2600000000002 - 1197.44: from the three countries that Kamala Harris
1197.44 - 1199.2600000000002: was tasked with fixing.
1199.2600000000002 - 1200.22: And if I were Kamala Harris,
1200.22 - 1204.8600000000001: I would be touting this, shouting it from the rooftops as a huge success of her big role.
1204.8600000000001 - 1207.72: And while I think her initiatives of like meeting with the leaders and trying to get
1207.72 - 1212.46: more business to Central America to like make jobs and fix these root problems were earnest
1212.46 - 1218.06: and well-intentioned, I just truly don't think that it's reasonable for us to evaluate her
1218.06 - 1223.58: based on any of these metrics. A vice president has no chance of fixing these deeply rooted
1223.58 - 1226.74: systemic issues in other countries in just a few years.
1226.74 - 1228.74: Okay, I've made that point.
1228.74 - 1229.74: Let's move on.
1229.74 - 1232.74: Look, I'm not a young guy.
1232.74 - 1237.02: Joe Biden is extraordinarily strong.
1237.02 - 1238.58: Bad debate nights happen.
1238.58 - 1239.58: Trust me.
1239.58 - 1243.58: President Biden has decided to step out of the race for the White House.
1243.58 - 1247.58: He is offering his full support and endorsement for Kamala Harris.
1247.58 - 1249.58: I accept your nomination.
1253.58 - 1256.58: So, here we are, kind of in modern day.
1256.58 - 1258.58: We all know what happens next.
1258.58 - 1261.8999999999999: Vice President Kamala Harris gets thrust into becoming
1261.8999999999999 - 1264.62: the presidential nominee for the Democratic Party,
1264.62 - 1267.62: as Joe Biden comes to grips with the fact that his age
1267.62 - 1270.22: and declining mental acuity was a guarantee
1270.22 - 1271.6999999999998: that he would lose and Donald Trump
1271.6999999999998 - 1272.78: would be our next president.
1272.78 - 1274.66: I really don't know what he said at the end of this,
1274.66 - 1276.7: and I don't think he knows what he said either.
1276.7 - 1278.5: So Harris is now in the spotlight,
1278.5 - 1281.66: and voters are wondering how she will be as a president.
1281.66 - 1284.42: What does her past, both personal and professional,
1284.42 - 1287.22: tell us about how she'll govern?
1287.22 - 1290.3400000000001: And the answer to that is pretty unclear.
1290.3400000000001 - 1292.3400000000001: Partly because over the course of her career,
1292.3400000000001 - 1295.26: Harris has shifted and morphed her views
1295.26 - 1298.06: based on the system and the situation that she's in.
1298.06 - 1300.94: That's what we've seen as we've talked about it here briefly.
1300.94 - 1302.9: She doesn't have a record that shows
1302.9 - 1306.02: some absolute ideological consistency,
1306.02 - 1308.42: which has been perhaps her number one critique
1308.42 - 1312.14: that Kamala's record simply is not consistent.
1312.14 - 1315.6200000000001: And yet, her character seems to be consistent.
1315.6200000000001 - 1318.3400000000001: Her lived experience is as well.
1318.3400000000001 - 1320.8200000000002: So after doing this research on her life,
1320.8200000000002 - 1322.5800000000002: I do believe her when she says,
1322.5800000000002 - 1324.18: is my values have not changed.
1324.18 - 1327.1200000000001: And this election is weird.
1327.1200000000001 - 1328.24: They're getting weirder every time,
1328.24 - 1329.68: but this one's super weird.
1329.68 - 1331.8: She's running against a showman,
1331.8 - 1334.96: a professional marketer, businessman caricature,
1334.96 - 1337.8: who campaigns on his non-political achievements,
1337.8 - 1340.82: His personality, not his policy proposals,
1340.82 - 1343.98: Kamala Harris was born to immigrant parents
1343.98 - 1345.46: who came to the United States
1345.46 - 1347.78: looking for education and opportunity.
1347.78 - 1349.62: And through hard work and endurance,
1349.62 - 1353.3799999999999: she pushed her way up through the ranks to where she is today,
1353.38 - 1357.38: all without serious scandals or dings to her character.
1357.38 - 1358.7: The only thing we could dig up on her
1358.7 - 1361.3000000000002: is that she dated the mayor of San Francisco
1361.3000000000002 - 1364.98: and that mayor may not have helped her get a job
1364.98 - 1368.1000000000001: or a position on some insurance board,
1368.1000000000001 - 1371.1000000000001: but this was like a consensual relationship.
1371.1000000000001 - 1372.9800000000002: There was no cheating, like it's not very juicy.
1372.9800000000002 - 1375.46: So regardless of what you think of her politics,
1375.46 - 1376.7: her stance on crime,
1376.7 - 1379.1000000000001: I do think it is still legitimate
1379.1000000000001 - 1381.5800000000002: to consider this personal character,
1381.58 - 1383.3799999999999: especially when we're thinking about
1383.3799999999999 - 1385.86: the most powerful person in our country,
1385.86 - 1387.46: the leader of the country.
1387.46 - 1390.06: Because leaders lead with their personal experience
1390.06 - 1392.5: as a guide, and this woman has lived a life
1392.5 - 1396.58: that allows her to relate to a lot of everyday Americans,
1396.58 - 1398.5: something that seems to be in short supply
1398.5 - 1399.86: among leaders these days.
1399.86 - 1402.8999999999999: So I don't know how Kamala Harris will govern
1402.8999999999999 - 1404.22: if she becomes president.
1404.22 - 1406.58: But from looking at her record,
1406.58 - 1411.58: I do feel fairly convinced that she has a sense of ethics
1411.58 - 1413.4199999999998: and morals and values.
1413.4199999999998 - 1415.34: And I think that is important to consider.
1415.34 - 1419.02: So if you are a voting age and you're an American,
1419.02 - 1420.6999999999998: let me tell you one thing for certain.
1420.6999999999998 - 1422.78: You are likely to not vote.
1422.78 - 1425.1399999999999: In this country, only half of the people
1441.58 - 1447.58: Um, for those still here, I just, you know, finished recording this video and, um,
1448.1399999999999 - 1452.78: I just recorded the Trump one yesterday and I'm struck with how different they are.
1452.78 - 1455.1799999999998: That could be a reflection of my personal bias.
1455.18 - 1461.02: like obviously it came down somewhere on on each of these but it's also a reflection of the life
1461.02 - 1466.7: the different lives that they've lived. Donald Trump's life is so full of tension and scandal
1466.7 - 1472.22: and kind of tantalizing details and it and very like visual you know all of his products and
1485.18 - 1490.5800000000002: It's very stark to me how these videos are going to feel differently, both because of
1490.5800000000002 - 1492.3: the way that I approach them, but also visually.
1492.3 - 1499.0600000000002: So I hope this was useful for those of you who are trying to understand Kamala Harris
1499.06 - 1501.62: and are maybe deciding who to vote for or whatever.
1501.62 - 1504.1: I hope that even in spite of some of the places I came down
1504.1 - 1506.82: and some of my perspectives,
1506.82 - 1510.4199999999998: that doesn't change the fact that you need to make up your mind
1510.42 - 1514.5800000000002: and decide and go with your gut and do what you feel and the most important thing is that you vote
1514.5800000000002 - 1519.46: that you like make it known. For those who don't know, all the music that we make for our videos
1519.46 - 1524.5: is custom made by our composer Tom Fox. He publishes all that music over on our
1524.5 - 1528.06: music channel called Chromatic and he also has it available to license. You can
1528.06 - 1532.3400000000001: listen to the whole catalog and reach out to license. All of that is in the
1532.3400000000001 - 1537.44: description. You should check out Search Party, which is our other channel run by Sam Ellis
1537.44 - 1541.7400000000002: about geopolitics and sports. If you like this channel, you'll like that. And if you're
1541.74 - 1546.1200000000001: not subscribe to the channel you should be okay that's all have a good rest of
1546.1200000000001 - 1548.56: your day bye bye

یک ایده بسیار خلاقانه برای طراحی بیلیورد تبلیغاتی برای فروشگاه کاشی و سرامیک

ASSISTANT

Çizdiği her şey terstir!
