And then the realization hit me- how my life has been significantly transformed by Artificial Intelligence. 
From morning to night, going about my everyday routine, AI helps me in most of what I do. It's like my assistant helping me throughout the day. 
I found all this quite interesting, so I decided to research it. And my findings were really surprising.
According to a Common Sense Media Report, 77% of parents and 92% of students are interested in AI-powered education technologies that can help us students learn. Applications like ChatGPT and Grammarly are used in my everyday life. I use ChatGPT to develop new ideas, get an outline for my English essay or even just gather information for a response at one spot in an organised and summarised manner. Grammarly on the other hand helps me edit my essays and writings and gives me suggestions on how to improve my writing. This is one of the many ways AI has made learning easy for me. 
A survey conducted by Nutmeg Education shows Grammarly has 65.31% of its users aged 24 to 55 using it for writing emails, reports or quotations at work. And 16% of these people use Grammarly daily.
Recently, I've noticed how often I am using AI to help me make more efficient decisions. As I said before I used Google to help me find a topic and design for my ICT project. It suggested, "Make a website". And again I googled how to make a website in less than a week. Again Google said to use other websites to make your website in only 3 hours. I know many websites which can help make a website. But there are soo many of them. Which one do I use? Again Google came to the rescue. It suggested Site123.com. And I used the site and I had my website Canvas&Strokes (https://6469c271d8b87.site123.me/) ready within 3 hours. An AI-powered system helped me decide more efficiently.

And this is not all. AI decision-making allows us to make faster, more accurate, and more consistent decisions. It also reduces Human errors and can be available 24/7. 

Before going deeper into this matter of AI and decision making let us take a quick look at what AI is and how it works. 

But there's one thing that many of us forget: AI is just another tool in our toolbox for making our lives easier. Artificial Intelligence works in a very simple way. It uses deep learning which is like a brain in software. The software creates many neurons which will work together to train the AI. No one tells an AI that this will be a cause and this will be the effect. All we do is pump data into the AI, which is usually historical data. And it's not a little bit of data but a huge amount of data, more than 365 data points. This data is something like the training wheels of AI.
After the AI is trained we remove its training wheels and expose it to new and unknown data and, expect a smart or intelligent output.  

Let's have Grammarly as an example. 
As most of us know Grammarly is an AI–powered software that analyzes each sentence of your text and looks for ways to improve your text. It is a really fast and convenient way to edit your text. I use it quite often. Can anyone of you guess how it is trained to correct your text? Well, the programmers pumped data (rules of English grammar and literature in this case) into the software and tested it. And what do you know? It worked! They had created software which could help millions of people worldwide with writing. 

Now that we know how AI works let's see how it can help us with our daily decisions.

Most people know AI is a conscious-less system. So it is considered a drawback of AI But since it is not cognizant, this means that it will take less biased decisions than Humans.

The other day I asked ChatGPT a very controversial question. Is a man more suitable to be a CEO or a woman? And can you guess the answer? Well, there were 4 main points in its answer. 
  1.  Research has shown that diverse leadership teams, including both men and women, can lead to better decision-making and business outcomes.
   2. The suitability of someone to be a CEO should be based on their qualifications, skills, experience, and leadership abilities rather than their gender.
3. Both men and women can excel as CEOs, and it is important to promote diversity and inclusion in leadership positions.
  4. Ultimately, it is the individual's capabilities and qualifications that determine their suitability for the role, regardless of their gender.
That doesn't sound very biased, does it?
Furthermore, AI can be developed to an amazing extent. Just as how we went from letters to telephones to smartphones, AI can be developed in the field of decision-making to a great extent. So soon enough it's not only going to businesses that use AI in decision-making, every person will be benefitted from this kind of AI.
Another edge of AI is that it can reduce human error. The decisions made by AI are made by previous information and a particular set of algorithms. These mistakes can be stopped if correctly coded. 

Well, let us take the example of navigation. It has changed so much over time. We went from using paper maps to Google Maps. Using paper maps relies on human intuition. And we humans tend to make mistakes now and then. Which may result in you getting stuck in the middle of nowhere while going from Dammam to Riyadh to meet your relatives. But if you use Google Maps to go to Riyadh, the application will not only take you to Riyadh but will also take you to your relative's home.
